Battalion Chief John Williamson, 46, a 23-year veteran who designed and built his own home was one who did not make it home that day. A serious golfer who practiced in his back yard, took lessons when he could, he passed on his love of the game to his son so they could spend days playing together. His wife remembers that “we got a lot of work out of him in the winter when there was too much frost on the ground to play golf.”
Williamson had only recently been assigned to Battalion 6 and Ladder 3.
