The National Volunteer Fire Council is the leading nonprofit membership

The Military Firefighter Heritage Foundation is based on the grounds of the Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, Texas. Goodfellow, home to the Department of Defense Fire Academy, is where the military trains all its firefighters.
