The NATIONAL FALLEN FIREFIGHTERS FOUNDATION is a 501(c)(3) non-profit created in 1992 by an Act of Congress with the mission to honor America’s fallen fire heroes and provide resources to assist their survivors in rebuilding their lives. The NFFF provides support services to help both families and departments deal with line-of-duty deaths, awards scholarships for survivor family members, and leads a major national initiative to reduce line-of-duty firefighter deaths.  Each October the NFFF hosts the official national tribute to all firefighters who have died in the line of duty at their National Memorial Site in Emmitsburg, MD.

The Military Firefighter Heritage Foundation is based on the grounds of the Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, Texas.  Goodfellow, home to the Department of Defense Fire Academy, is where the military trains all its firefighters.  The MFHF restores and maintains the historical fire equipment that surrounds its memorial to all military firefighters who have died in the line of duty.         militaryfirefighterheritage.com
