A friend just sent me a link to this moving 11 minute video about how a half-million people were rescued from Lower Manhattan on 9/11 by a spontaneous flotilla of boats- the largest rescue of its kind in history.

I was also forwarded news about FROM THE GROUND UP, a 45-minute film airing this Sunday 9/11 on OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network (check your local listings, as they say). This movie, made by Gage and Gage Productions (gageproductions.com) in Telluride, CO, “is the story of five widows of firefighters killed on September 11, 2001. Lifting our spirits, they empower their communities and honor their heroic husbands in the most fitting personal ways they can imagine.” I have already set my DVR.
