They say close only counts in horseshoes. That may be true.
We came really really really close to presenting the paintings in a very public place that everyone knows for TWO full weeks in the middle of Manhattan, BUT, while that is true,……….. this isn’t horseshoes. On this 9/11, Better Angels will remain packed in its crates.
I extend my sincere thanks to all those who have worked so hard with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and me to find a way to bring these paintings to New York City. I promise we will one day succeed.
For months now, I have been meeting civilians and fire service personnel from across the country who have been planning their own 9/11 memorial services. I am honored that the Better Angels poster is being included in many of these memorials and is hanging in fire houses from coast to coast. I welcome pictures of your memorials to share on this site.
