It’s a little hard to begin a countdown on a project more than six years in the making, but I am finally less than two weeks away from seeing Better Angels for the first time. This is the case because the 343 paintings have always needed a display wall in order to see them. That wall is finally being built as I write. Parts of it are being assembled now in Maryland, parts are in transit from Colorado, the painting display panels are being crated in Colorado. Next week I will drive the paintings south to Maryland myself. There, l will rendezvous with my friend William who will help me bolt each painting to its exact position on its panel. On the 18th, Better Angels will be installed for the first time at the Maryland State Firemen’s Association convention in Ocean City, Md. I believe it opens to the public on Sunday, June 19th. Details to follow!
