My husband Bob was a truly loving man who was committed to his job as an FDNY Firefighter and loved his Ladder Co. 25 and all of his Brothers. Bob had 24 years on the job when we lost him that horrific daya and although I tried to convince him to retire on his 20th anniversary, he insisted he wanted to get to 25 years on the job. Bob was a kind and loving husband and father and our hearts continue to feel a huge void. Being a FDNY Firefighter was not just a job to him but a vocation. He was as helpful to strangers as he was to family and friends. Our family loves him dearly and have established a Scholarship Program at our local Parish Elementary School where a new library stands dedicated to Bob and donated by his family.
