The weather here has been as good as the show. BETTER ANGELS has had a steady stream of visitors, most of whom are fire service personnel who live this side of the Mississippi. Still, their ability to connect with these paintings and the men they represent is strong. Some looked to find the firefighter whose badge they carried in Stair Climb events in their own cities. Many are one or two degrees of separation from knowing one or more of the firefighters. One woman took the time to look slowly through all the paintings one by one, like a long salute.
