“A big man with a big heart,” is how Firefighter John Daniel Marshall was described by his friend Lou at his memorial service. Regularly assigned to Ladder 27 in the Bronx, Marshall was on rotation with Engine 23 on 9/11. He will be the first of five men from that house to be listed here. John Marshall left behind a wife and two children under five.
